That would be illegal, but you could use Oppen Office, a open source free word alternative. It also have PowerPoint and excel and other programs.

Yes we all know downloading free stuff is illegal but we have all done it, have you tried googling Microsoft word freeware, or try to download the torrent, it’s out there believe me, you just need to be patient and keep on searching.

I agree with all previous responses that you can’t download it legally without paying for it.

One question: Did you have Microsoft Word on your old computer? If you did, and if you’re no longer using the old PC, you’ve already paid for a license. Assuming you no longer have the installation disk. (It would have been smart to keep it, if you ever had it!) But if you can provide the Microsoft registration number from the old PC, and provide proof that it’s no longer being used by anyone, you may be able to get a disk from Microsoft for a small charge. It’s worth asking them.
